You can book a face to face appointment or online consultation directly via the website, on a date and time that suits you.
You do not need a referral from your GP.
If you have had blood tests or scans conducted with your GP please email the results into us prior to your appointment.
-
Once you have booked your appointment you will be sent a link for your video consultation via email. At the time of your appointment click on this link on our phone or computer and you will enter a virtual waiting room. It will let your doctor know when you are there and she will join you for the appointment.

We will provide you a prescription during your first appointment and follow up appointments if required, and the cost of this is included in your appointment. Should you require a prescription outside of these times then there is a $30 charge.
Please email us if you require a prescription and this is only available for existing Menopause Care NZ patients. You require a follow up appointment at 3 months after your first appointment or 3 months after a medication dose change. Once stable you require yearly appointments to get continued prescriptions.
Prescriptions from private clinics such as Menopause Care NZ are subject to an extra charge of $15 per item by the pharmacy, as required by the Ministry of Health.

We aim to provide as flexible a service as possible, but we are a small business and there are significant costs to us associated with patients who cancel last minute. These are particularly impactful for our face to face clinics where we have significant overheads and little chance of filling last minute cancellation slots.
We have a 3 working day’s (72 business hours) cancellation and rearrangement policy. Please note this does not include weekends or bank holidays.
If greater than 3 working day’s notice is given to cancel an appointment, a full refund minus a $10 administration fee is given.
If you cancel with less than 3 working day’s notice of your appointment, there will be no refund. This is because there is not enough time to fill your appointment slot.
Please contact us via email to cancel your appointment and to request a refund. Refunds take 7-10 day’s to process.
REARRANGING APPOINTMENTS
Should you need to rearrange your appointment there is no fee if greater than 3 working day’s (72 Business hours) notice given from your original appointment time.
If less than 3 working days notice from your original appointment time then there is an additional $100 fee. Please email us to rearrange your appointment time/date.
Please email info@menopausecarenz.com to rearrange your appointment.

Please discuss with your insurance provider to see if your policy provides GP cover. We take payment on booking and can provide you with an invoice which you can forward to your provider.
